Track Voter ID Status Online on NVSP Portal

The NVSp portal is now the Voter Service Portal. Applicants can track their application status online at voters.eci.gov.in.

Follow the below steps to check your voter ID status online via the NVSP portal:

• Go to the official website - voters.eci.gov.in
• Click on ‘Track Application Status’
• You’ll be able to see your voter ID status.

Check Voter ID Status Offline by Visiting Electoral Office

You can also check the status of your voter ID application by visiting the electoral office. With just your application reference number, they can check the status of your Voter ID application.

Track Voter ID Status Via Voter Helpline Number

1950 is the universal helpline number for voter ID services. You can easily dial 1950, select language, and then check your Voter ID status in a matter of minutes. There are also state-wise voter helpline numbers available that you can use to check the status of your voter ID.

Check Voter ID Status Via SMS

You also check your voter ID via SMS. Just follow the below steps and get the status update.

• Step 1: Get your state's Electoral Officer’s number.
• Step 2: Type VOTE space voter ID number.
• Step 3: Send to the Electoral officer’s number.
• Step 4: You will receive your voter ID status on your number.

How to SignUp for Voter ID Status Tracking

Checking your Voter ID status through the NVSP is an easy process. Firstly, you have to register on the NVSP website.

Step 1: Go to the ‘Voter Service Portal’ - voters.eci.gov.in and click on the ‘Sign Up’ option.

Step 2: Provide your email address, mobile number, and captcha code, and click ‘continue’.

Step 3: Provide your first and last name, and the password and request ‘OTP’

Step 4: Enter the OTP and verify and your registration will be complete.

Now, login using the mobile number, and password and verify OTP to continue with tracking your application status.

How to Check Voter ID Application Status Online

Once you have applied for your Voter ID, you can easily track your application status. You can follow the steps below and know the status of your application.

Step 1: Visit the ‘Voter Service Portal’ - voters.eci.gov.in

Step 2: Login with your mobile number, and password & verify OTP.

Step 3: Click on ‘Track Application Status’ on the homepage

Step 4: Provide the reference number that you received after you filled voter application - form 6.

Step 5: Choose your state and hit ‘Submit’.

Step 6: Your Voter ID application status will be displayed on the screen.

Note that these steps only apply once you Login on the official website. If you have not registered, you need to first Sign up and then login to continue tracking your voter ID application status.

How to Check Voter ID Correction Status

If you want to change any details on your voter ID, or if there is any wrong information that you want to change, you can do that using the Form 8 application. It is available for download on the NVSP website.

Once you have applied for voter ID correction on the NVSP website, you can check the voter ID status by following the steps mentioned below:

• Step 1: Go to the official NVSP portal.
• Step 2: Look for the ‘Track Application Status’ option and click on it.
• Step 3: Provide the reference number that you received after submitting the correction application.
• Step 4: Choose your state and click on ‘Submit’.
• Step 5: Your voter ID application will be displayed on the screen.

You can also choose to visit the electoral office in person and get to know more about your voter ID application status.
